These web demo. videos may be convenient, but they are, by necessity, very short and can’t really show how the videographer captures your entire, special day. Seeing a demonstration video that has examples of; the “getting ready” pre-service footage, the service, receiving line, post-service photo session, as well as the footage of the meal and dance at the reception will give you greater peace of mind regarding your investment in professional video. I have such a demonstration video and it can be viewed by appointment or received through the mail. Mailed demo. videos should be arranged by phone. I can be contacted at 608-635-4709. Contact, by phone, with the vendor you’d like to hire is strongly recommended throughout the industry. Your videographer will be with you most of the day (I always try to be as inconspicuous as possible) and having a personality that is flexible and compatible with yours is a must. That kind of compatibility in a person is hard to judge via e-mails.
Lastly, web demo. videos carry the potential for software incompatibilities, etc. etc. Network problems, server difficulties and more can interfere with otherwise quality work. You won’t be receiving a web based final product for your wedding video anyway. So, why not compare apples to apples and see a demo. in the format you’ll be receiving as your edited wedding video...probably a DVD. It is the most reliable way to see how the videographer you are considering creates the production that you will actually be purchasing.
